FANPAZ (Filipino American Nurse Practitioners of Arizona) values the critical role that nurse practitioner preceptors play in educating and mentoring the next generation of providers. Your willingness to guide NP students strengthens the profession and supports quality patient care.
How FANPAZ Engages with Preceptors
FANPAZ serves as a resource exchange and connection platform. We help facilitate awareness and communication between NP students and licensed nurse practitioners who may be open to mentorship or preceptorship discussions.
FANPAZ does not manage, assign, or oversee clinical rotations. Participation as a preceptor through FANPAZ connections is entirely voluntary.
Role of the Academic Institution
- The student’s academic institution is solely responsible for approving, coordinating, and overseeing all clinical placements and mentorship programs.
- All clinical agreements, contracts, evaluations, and supervision requirements must be completed directly between the preceptor and the student’s school.
- FANPAZ is not a party to clinical agreements and does not evaluate student performance.
What FANPAZ Is — and Is Not
FANPAZ IS:
- A nonprofit professional organization
- A platform for connection and information-sharing
- A community that promotes ethical mentorship and collaboration
FANPAZ IS NOT:
- A placement or staffing agency
- A clinical coordinator or school representative
- A guarantor of student preparedness, clinical hours, or placement
Expectations & Ethical Standards
FANPAZ promotes:
- Ethical, voluntary mentorship
- Compliance with school, state, and organizational policies
- Clear professional boundaries
- No referral fees, compensation, or incentives tied to preceptorship
All mentorship and preceptorship relationships must comply with applicable academic, regulatory, and ethical standards.
